Overheating/gear box help please

2.5 manual..my first gear takes abit of power to push it in to first gear .. its had a new clutch and when im driving my fans come on when i stop @ a traffic lights but it does not over heat what does that mean ?

Clutch could be a little oil on the friction plate, the splines of the input shaft not lubricated properly or faulty clutch hydraulics.
If the problem existed before the clutch was changed, then try replacing the gearbox oil with ATF.
