Anybody have a "how to" on rebuilding the driver's lock cylinder? I bought the kit with a new cylinder and all the tumblers. But, I do not have any instructions. Thanks.

You Americans! Need an instruction guide to unclip a bra...I digress...
I spent several frustrating hours dimantling and attempting to re-assemble a lock barrel,my wife came to the conclusion that she would go shopping rather than listen to me swearing at the thing on her kitchen worktop...
Have hunt through the wiki,I found a useful guide there...

This is why I like topless woman. My next step was to take out my lock cylinder. I will look in the wiki, thanks.

If you are in trouble you could bring it to a good locksmith... Just a suggestion.

Eko, that is great, thanks. I see the replacement tumblers are numbered. Is it right to assume that these numbers need to be placed where the same numbered tumblers are in my current lock? Thanks.

Oh yes! Have you had the damn ballbearing escape yet? winkeye
I carefully laid out the tumblers in the order that they were removed, top to one side, bottom to the other.
It was that ballbearing and it's cage that I found the most frustrating part...

Question. My driversdoor lock cylinder makes a caming over feeling when I turn it (Like when you overturn a nut). But if I then turn it fast I can be lucky to make the centrallocking activate.

Would that repair kit you bought fix this?

Or what does it do?
Why is there not enough time to do it right, but allways enough time to fix the errors - I borrowed that, just so reallistic in my line of work.
