Hi guys

So been a busy fella today, got the interior out of the cab all the way down to the carpert, and thats where I got stuck. I've got everything off including the accelerator pedel. The carpet lifts pretty much right up to the point where you get to the front and up under the footwells but from there it looks like theres a bit of cuttin to be done.

Any one have any advice for getting it out from there? The car is a 325i Cab H reg.

Thanks

I was doing this myself yesterday and got stuck in the exact same place. I was about to start cutting but didn't want to. If getting it out is this hard how hard will it be to get in

I did hear that getting it back in is quite tough or at least takes longer but apart from taking sometime i Can't see it being to hard. Does look like you need to do some cuttin, just make sure it's a clean cut and out of sight. I did read something about losening a few bolts by where the heater stuff it then apparently it should slide out with a few smal cuts.

I wont be able to get at it until next wkend now but keep me posted and II'll do the same

Did you guys undo the dash board securing car that is fixed onto the tunnel under the centre console. Its difficult but when the bolt is out you can man handle the carpet out from under the bar without cutting. Two man job though. Getting it back in is when the fun really begins. Can be done though without any cutting. Good luck.

the only place the carpet needs to be cut from is from around the steering column at the bottom even this is jsut a small slit, other than that no cutting is required ive taken about 15 of these out in my time and there is definately no more cutting involved, slide the carpet out with your fingers from behind the peals and give it a nice pull holding it from both sides at the rear, (easiest way i do it is putting my fingers in the holes for the seat bolts and giving it a good pull)

Yeah the trouble is getting back exactly where it was to start with. You will find you will get it most of the way in then you have no where to hold onto it. It makes moving it really hard. But it is possible. If i can do it then anyone can.
