finally bought myself my first e30 a 318is its great appart from a problem i get when i put my foot down when it reaches about 4000rpm it starts to die out on me and it wont go over 4000rpm and it seems the more i drive it the rpm limit starts to drop i was stuck at the bottom of my hill just now because it wouldnt go over 2000rpm but when i switched it off and on again it went back up to the 4000rpm limit can anyone help i love this car even though its got these problems?? :cry: ( pics and more info to come winkeye )

my guess is either plugs or ECU. Try to be more specific in the subject line, most people skim over threads titled with non specific names...

check your plugs, oil, air filter, oil filter.
then tell us how you got on

Check the hose from the TB to AFM for splits/cracks
