took the old girl out for a good hard drive yesterday but when i got back the engine was knocking a bit. but when i got in it this morn it was quiet as a mouse and hasn't knocked since... any ideas?

not actually sure, i got back and left the car idling for a while and heard the knocking but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Still hasn't done it since
