I'm asking you guys what to do next, apart from replacement fuel filter, i was going to try and get a new coil, HT leads and distributer cap, but i wondered if you guys have any pearls of wisdom to save me some money and time

i say yes until the part about the slotting it thru the front engine lifting bracket, i was in the drivers seat whilst my bro was doing that. would it not being earthed stop the spark?murran wrote:how did you check for a spark?? did you pull no.1 plug out then put it back in the lead and slot it thru the front engine lifting bracket (to earth it) and crank it over??

Ok, will try both, think i might invest in a haynes manual lolmurran wrote:if you have, it might be worth undoing the little round plug under the inlet manifold for the injector rail wiring loom. check its not full of corrosion which would effect the wires to the injectors themselves?
