Has anybody managed to fit an electric roof to a touring using the rigid sun visor panel? Ive got a rattle in my manual one and I'm gonna have to pull the headlining down to investigate, so I thought I could fit my elec roof kit at the same time.
Any other ways to get around sourcing the correct headlining that anyone knows of?
cheers
Dan

Yes, I've done one.
You need to trim the original liner back to just in front of the roof hatch.

oh great. I ve had one out before, I seem to remember a screw point somewhere around there, do I leave that on, or is it just held up by the rigid portion? BTW, did they make a beige visor panel or are they all black?

It was a while ago that I did it, and, unusually, I didn't make any notes.
All the visor panels I've seen have been black, which isn't quite the same thing as saying they are all black.
There are two screws that go down through from the front of the sunroof hatch to hold the rear edge of the visor, that are accessed by removing the 'gurney flap', IIRC.
I seem to remember trimming some urethane foam stuff back as well to get the visor to fit properly.
