I've finally dug the little devil out of the door, and got a better idea of the problem I've had with it. The door will unlock with the key, but won't lock, and instead of even movements each way to lock and unlock, there is a nasty kick as the spring turns back over to the normal position, which I'm sure it's not supposed to do. I've had a look at PiperZero's excellent post below:

... but really don't want to get into the realms of taking the barrel apart as I've already proved myself an idiot on taking the door apart :)

Anyone have any ideas what I'll have to do fix what's occuring in the second picture?

- Spring turned over. Lots of physical effort required to get it back to the normal position!

Any guidance, abuse etc gratefully accepted.

Chris.

I had a similar problem, when I stripped the lock apart I found the metal component that attaches to the dead lock finger and spring had cracked so it justed twisted round before it could lock the door. If you remove the pin at the back and remove the barrel it is probably whats happened to yours.
If I can't fix it I'll f**k it up so bad nobody can!!
