I'm just wondering if i can fit 225/45/16 tyres on 16 x 7.5j Azev A(ET 20 i think ?) wheels ?
Will i have any tyre rubbing issues ?
They originally came with 205/45/16.

Thanks for the link, looks like a 225 will be fine with that rim width, just got to see if any one has any info as to wheather i'll get any tyre rubbbing.

You should be fine with the 225 Andy
I used to run 225/45s on 7" rims(rear) with a 25 mm offset with no problems
7" rims with 225/45 on the front with a 10mm offset does rub though
Better to opt for a 205 or 215 tyre on there

They didn't rub on the strut
They did catch on the arch liner near full lock and on the arch lip occasionally
That was with a 60mm drop though
With a narrow section tyre then it will be less of a problem(poss not even a problem)
205's don't have any issues IIRC

defo alright with 225's on 7 1/2 rims fella, although that's the widest I would go.
The snoarer had 225's front & rear when I got it on 18" rims 7 1/2 wide, couldn't go any wider so had to get some supra 17's which are 9 1/2" on the rear, so currently on 255's but could go 275

Ive got 225/45/16s On my ACS Type 1s at 25p but with a 5mm spacer (that makes them a 20p offset) and dont have any issues with rubbing. My guards are slightly rolled and my car is low so they camber in a fair bit

Have you got 225 alround ?drifty325i wrote:Ive got 225/45/16s On my ACS Type 1s at 25p but with a 5mm spacer (that makes them a 20p offset) and dont have any issues with rubbing. My guards are slightly rolled and my car is low so they camber in a fair bit
Would i get away with them on the back with out rolled arches ?
I've got 225/45/16's on the back of my 325i which has 16" hartges (et20 i think) No scrubbing, even when it was on the 'Ring.
However I had the same tyres on a set of Azev A's on my 335i briefly and the other edges would rub when the car squatted under hard acceleration.
Quite an unhelpful post I suppose...

At least i know before hand, may be i'll see if you can get a 215/45/16 ?
Do you think the arches would need to move much with Azevs/225s ?

I think you will be fine with them to be honest, but yours is a face lift and mines a pre so will be slightly different
