I have fitted an M52TU to my E30.
Nearly finished, engine running, but having trouble with an accelerator cable.
The engine end has a ball rather than a pin to secure on the throttle body and I cannot find one.
I may have to modify one but thought I would ask here first.
I know this is the M54 forum but an M52TU is closer to an M54 than an M52.
Thanks,
Jon.
Accelerator cable.

While the M52TU is closer to an M54, one of the main differences is that the M54 throttle is fully fly by wire so there is no cable at all. With an M54 swap the throttle pedal needs to be replaced and then new wiring run to it.
For an M52TU I would have thought the throttle cable from the donor car would be the one to go for wouldn't it?

Thanks for reply.
I agree but unfortunately the donor car cable is lost.
I have now made a cable out of an E36 318Ti Compact cable. I machined the bar down to fit on the throttle body and fitted an extra adjuster piece from an E30 M40 cable, by cutting a slot down it.
This then takes up the extra slack in the outer of the cable.
Adjusts up nicely and WOT is available.
