Please check back every few years for a update, don't expect too much progress!
Bought 01/02/2007 with a dodgy MOT, interesting drive back from Norfolk to Dorset, I left a trail of petrol all the way back.
I drove it for a couple of years, then parked it up when the MOT ran out, kept meaning to do a few things for the MOT. Suddenly 10 years have passed, left outside on the drive. The neighbours loved me
Every once in a while i polished it to appease my long suffering partner, and keep the neighbours happier.
Now, what could be lurking behind the bodykit

Thin air….
Not just thin air, a good sprinkling of rusty bits pretending to be metal.
I should have just weighed it in, but I owe the car one last chance of survival

Yummy, have de ja vu vision of mine. For the valance, hillbilly way could be to chop the rust out and the Mtec bumper remains.
The upper bit panels could be got or made.
Can we have a photo after hammertime, here’s my inner wheel arch, I was a bit keen to find solid metal….

The latest High Tech tooling
Bend panel around a 17mm socket to get the OEM fit
Trial fit... Repairs to the repair panels. Start of a very big jigsaw.
Satisfying to weld bits back in rather than just cutting rot out

Bit of fiberglass over the ground down welds, just incase of any pinholes in the weld.
Epoxy primer
Epoxy primer, should keep the rust out for the next couple of years whilst I get around to doing the rest of the car!

Restored a MGB 30 years ago, few other minor bits over the years. YouTube is a great source of knowledge! Techniques have certainly changed over the years.

Thanks, I do get a bit carried away at times!
Onto the passenger front floor pan / and sill sections photoshoot
All the rust / damage along the sill area has been caused by improper jacking up of the the car.
The floor turned out to be a lot worse than originally anticipated, you never know what lurks under the soundeadening

I wish! I started it about a year ago, so at my present rate I'll be done by 2025

Cool to see a 'new' project thread to this magnitude come up. Keep up the good work.
