E30 TC2 Baur Cabriolet saggy targa piece

Hi guys
I have TC2 Baur that have been working on for a while now. I am almost done with it but find myself stuck with the targa piece of the roof that seems too soft and saggy. Is there a way that I could DIY to refurbish or repair this part of the roof?
I don't want to spend lots of money on this part if there is a way to fix it.
Your honest opinions and advices will highly be appreciated.

Kind regards

Hi Mart
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I did not take pics of the targa roof piece before I started working on it, but I will rather send pics of what I decided to do of which I stripped off the canves material and from the looks of things the targa top is made from fibreglass strends and so I decided to strengthen it with fibreglass.
I took a chance and hope that it will work. I will send you the pics and also let you k ow of the outcome.
Cheers

Hi Mart
On the pics that I have posted, I had already started working on the targa top
The following are the steps and things that I did to refurbish my Baur targa top

1. I added fibreglass sheets on to the top
2. Sanded it down for smooth texture
3. Applied adhesive contact glue
4. Laid the canvas on top and it came out very
well.
I will post pic of the finished top tomorrow.
Cheers.

Anyway today was my birthday and decided to take out my unfinished project that I have been working on for quite some time now. I think Brian Moore might remember when I first joined the group and had a problem with my car not reving up. Anyway I included some pics to show progress thus far

Hi Mart
Unfortunately I don't have more pics of me DIY the targa top, but have a video clip in which my wife is talking/explaining in the background of what we are about to do. By the way the language in which she speaks is Afrikaans (spoken in South Africa) a kind of dialect linked to Dutch
Cheers
