E30 Zone

Hello mates!

Have not posted for a while now..I was waiting for the right time!
I have been driving my 90' M40 316i for almost a year now and finally the time to post my plans for it has come
It has been almost 3 weeks since I left the car in a local BMW garage (Unfortunately cant do the labor myself considering the lack of knowledge space and time..).
The car will probably be finished next week, so here's what we have done.
-M50b25 Non Vanos from an 325i E36 paired to its original gearbox (around 170.000 KM), A/c delete
-5Lug swap all around using Rear E36 ti parts for the rear and E36 for the front.Whole suspension will be E36 (330ci E46 front brakes will be a future upgrade)
-Power steering rack from an E36.
-3.38 open 168mm (unfortunately) differential making a good combo considering the non overdrive E36 gearbox.
-E36 M3 LTW 17x7.5 front 17x8.5 replicas ( ) on used 225/45/17 all around. Will upgrade on P zeros shortly.
-Stock M50 headers with custom fabricated exhaust - Cat delete.
That's for now considering the mechanical parts..
Full alcantara headliner will be installed shortly after driving the car for a while. I have also managed to pair Uberkaro Antharazit front Sport seats from a cabrio as well rears from a Coupe with original uphostlery, just needs some refreshing.

Nice looking car you have there.
I've seen quite a few around Greece - possibly seen more in use on the Greek roads than the UK . Mind you , not always in great condition !
This is in Aegina last summer.

There are really not many around, especially in good condition.
I often get weird looks,since I wasn't even born when E30s were around

Well the little 14s will have to go since I am going to run the 5 lug setup.

Yea there are some baurs around..
Generally E30s are really cheap to buy in Greece..I got my for 1.5k.
In most cases you can have a really good one for 3-5 grand..

So, It's been a while since I last posted..Not everything went as planned but finally after 2 months of waiting here we go.

First things first.. In the process of the swap I decided to put bigger radiator and electric fan as well!

Considering the suspension as said, rear from a 323ti E36 with B8s + eibach springs!
Same for the front,E36 front suspension (325i) with some modifications.
286 vented fronts.
272 solid rears.
E36 power rack with new components!

Any opinion about Z3 torsen for E30s?

And last but not least..Just a dual pipe to an Eisenmann Muffler..Quite used but had a deal for it for just 100 euros That's all for now, trying to be patient for a couple days more..
Only plans for it after this whole swap is a LSD for sure, finally pairing my uberkaro antharazit interior, alcantara headliner and adjusting the car's suspension to its maximum potential!
