Wheel arch rust

Hi looking at buying my first e30 spotted one in UK got lots of pics of seller but rear wheel arches have my head wrecked,basically not sure how far they gone I know car has a long test

As a rule, from bitter experience, always assume the rust is at least twice as bad as you can see.

Nothing that cannot be repaired but to give you an idea of work involved.

Hey, why worry about the rust, focus on the shiny tyres

If that much rust is visible then you can more or less guarantee there is significantly more on the car that you can't see. You should walk unless you want a project .

Mine didn't look as bad on the surface but this much needed to be cut away.
As above, it will be at least twice as bad as you can see now. Will likely need Inner arches as well.
