Hi everyone,
So for years now I have been interested in the older style BMWs. I’m not sure what it was about them, but I just find them interesting! I have always pointed them out to my Dad etc when we are out and about.
Last June I contacted Fritz’s Bits, I am lucky enough to be roughly just a mile away from them! I asked Richard there about a potential project and so I ended up with this:

It’s a 318i touring that Richards Dad sold to my Dad. For all of last summer I worked at an airfield and slowly but surely paid my Dad back for it. (I was 15 at the time heheh)
I turn 17 In July so hopefully will be able to get it on the road soon. Can’t wait!

Luckily, over winter I managed to persuade my boss at the airfield if I could store it in a hangar. This has helped enormously with rust and allowed me to slowly bring it up to standard. Here is progress so far:

Front valance pulled out and fog lights installed along with a lip:

Drivers seat was in a state. I found a passenger seat with the same fabric in Richards store so swapped it all round and put it in as a drivers. Worked a treat.

Rusted drivers wing. I sourced another one which would have otherwise gone to scrap, sprayed it by hand and that also worked a treat!

The most recent thing I have done is basically freshen up the car along with a set of MIM 1900 15” alloys which I had refurbished. That broke the bank!

Bonnet is of having a respiratory at the moment- don’t think I will attempt to do that by rattle can!
Major thanks to Richard and everyone at Fritz’s, the amount of help and support and advice has been the main reason any of this has been possible. I’m borderline retarded when it comes to mechanical bits lol
Hope you enjoyed, I will try to update as I keep going!
Bill

Good call on the Mims, they're a very nice wheel. Now it's crying out for the front to be lowered a little imo.

Reckon a 6cyl should do the job 😉
Hehe, I’ll get round to lowering it at some point. Currently saving myself from bankruptcy after those Mims!!

ahaha, thanks Mart!!
Should be all ready for summer- going to a festival down in Newquay and the plan atm is to go with some mates and chuck our stuff in the back! (Perhaps sneak a few beers in too winkeye )
