I went to my opticians very early February with concerns about my right eye cataract and was sent to SpaMedica within four weeks.
They said I had one in each eye but would do the right one first then the left one late.Shit I thought my left eye was really good too !!
Anyway, I went yesterday to their place in Bradford (15 mins away from me) and after only three hours in total I came away with a new lens in my right eye and thinking "that 10 mins was awful!! " the rest was waiting for drops to work etc.
Well , Today is the first day of the rest of my life
What a difference is an understatement !!!!!!
We had a new carpet and suit before Christmas and I can now see how bloody cool it really is
If you are thinking of whether to do this or not then don`t .................Just Do IT !!!!
My left eye is now completely shite compared !!! lol.
Mart.
(Two hips down and Hernia this Friday

)
( NHS Works for me)

I had mine done about 5 years ago with both eyes. I had it done privately as there was a long wait on NHS in my area and I didn’t want to get caught driving with poor eyes. Before doing it I did some research and found some interesting facts. There are implants that give you the options so you don’t need reading glasses separately but it’s not available on NHS. I couldn’t have it due to my eye condition. If you wear glasses then depending on your local NHS they may or may not offer you the option if you want to continue with you to wear the existing glasses or dispense wearing them.
I chose to dispense with the glasses as I had been wearing glasses since I was 10 years old. After cataract operation a few people develop the vision goes blurred in that eye. There is a laser treatment which deals with it and only takes a few minutes.
If you were short sighted there is also a risk of developing a condition of detached retina soon after cataract surgery. This is serious and needs to be dealt with immediately. Just make sure which is the nearest hospital which can deal it as not all hospitals have the necessary facilities.

The trend carries on !!
I went to St James`s very early last Friday morning and now the Umbilical Hernia is nowhere to be seen !!!
The care and attention to detail was simply out of this world.
Many thanks to all of the guy`s down there, you were very special indeed.
