Buying a car as an investment?

I've been toying with this idea for a while now. Considering my money is earning about 0.1% interest in the bank there has to be a better way of making it work for me. I invested in a starter business about 18 months ago and lost the lot when covid came along so I'm reluctant to go that route again. Rather than playing the markets I'd rather have something physical that is more or less guaranteed to increase in value over time. My current thought is a Lancia Delta Evo, which I've been watching rise in price, plus I've always fancied owning one. Has anyone here done this with success, or thought about doing it?

I'm looking forward to doing the same when I have a bit more room.
Deltas are good shout. As much as I hate them, any hot Fords always seem to shoot up enormously, and I keep waiting for Evo V- VIII prices to start creeping up too. They've been low for way too long!

Fords are a good bet but they just don't interest me. I've always promised myself an Italian classic and the big risk with a Delta is actually using it rather than mothballing!

I have to admit I am a bit of a Ford fan having grown up on Escorts. If I could add a couple to the collection to mothball I recon a 2016 Ford Focus RS would be one of them. The revised M2 competition would be another. Evo X FQ-360 would be a third.
Unfortunately my collection of turds needs thinning before I could buy something worthwhile
Never found an Italian car that did it for me, had my illusions of a Ferrari 308 shattered when I drove one. Built for someone shorter and fatter than me. Spent a lot of time I will never get back trying to get a Lancia Thema 8.32 working and rust-free.

Storage costs, insurance, maintenance etc etc and the phasing out of petrol cars, be careful,
To be honest you may be better of investing in a rental then again there are dramas in that, I know you don't want to platy the market but Bit Coin has moved around a bit in the last few months and yesterday the HS&I announce they are drastically cutting their rates, I think I'd rather invest in a Cannabis Farm or sell Guns to Gansta's
