Motorhome conversion!

Just a short video documenting a panel van to motorhome conversion my dad and I did. Was more of a challenge that we had no choice but to take up, no previous experience or anything so took 9 months in all!

Comments welcome, any ideas for the next one too please!

- completed walkaround

Thanks!

Excellent job! I've toyed with this idea myself but realistically will never get around to it. So are you and your dad A&M conversions?

Thank you!

We are indeed, the company name is actually just and extension of my brother in laws company, A&M Cars, it was his challenge that started the whole thing off.

It was our task to design and build, his to sell it as he already has a successful car sales business.

Tempted to do another, will take nowhere near as long this time round as we know all the things to order and how to go about it better. Forgot to add the link of the finished article -

The folding bed is patent pending 8)

How long does it take and what's a ball park figure to convert a Citroen like that?

This took 9 months but it did change design and spec a few times along the way adding more time to the build. Ball park conversion parts of 9k plus the van cost on top. Labour realistically ran into 5 figures easily but we weren't expecting to make any money from it. Having no wetroom will take about 40% off the cost and halve the build time as it was the most complex part with all the plumbing for hot and cold water etc and waterproofing.

Thanks

Excellent work and big effort there !!!
This is one quality product which could be configured to suit any taste.
What do you think a ball park price would be for one please?

Mart.

Mart, ballpark conversion cost is 10k for a shower version, 6/7k without a shower. A huge amount of labour, be warned!

Thank you for all the positive comments :)

Only if you're a Brit! Sitting here in a campsite in Brittany, on the right side of a bottle of red (been down on the Dordogne for the last two weeks) and there are plenty of women here in motorhomes with NL plates on them that look a long way from their graves!
Yes, this is my first post in about three months, but hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly!

Lovely job on the Citreon, but if anyone prefers the VW flavour, my son in law knocks out the odd one of those.

He's back! I couldn't own one myself, not really my cup of tea but I do appreciate a good conversion.

Thanks
