Whilst I have some sympathy for the cabin staff who work horrible hours for little money for this miserable airline, I was particularly peeked to be told this morning, having driven two hours and parked up the cabby at Weeze ( Dusseldorf ) airport on my way to visit my son in Ibiza, "sorry, your flight has been cancelled "
I'd left home at 4:00 am, got back around 10 this morning - to find a nice little mail waiting for me which appears to have arrived 2 hours after the plane should have left.
After last years similar, but worse debacle with pilots, it begs the question whether these jokers are fit to run an airline, maybe time to pull their licence and return to proper airlines run as a service rather than a circus.
OK, that's my rant for the day.

Thats really shit Paul !!
I know compensation will not make up for it but I wish everyone who can claim from them would do so as to hurt the buggers where it counts for them, in their pockets !!
Mart.

I now make sure, when I book a holiday, that it's not them i'm flying with.

The staff are on strike on certain days so thats why there are cancellations.

Sorry to hear about the bad experience.
I've worked in the airport business and like any other business, the less you pay, the worse the service is and the harder it gets for you when things go wrong.
For example, Emirates don’t refer to us as customers, we’re guests and are treated accordingly.
Ryanair do the minimum to give customers the minimum price, they pay less than other airlines and attract workers and not team members.
Boycotting them is the only thing you can do. A complaint is pointless, however the EU rules on compensation are designed to give you redress.

I travel a lot with work - my current travel is over and back Edinburgh to Wroclaw = you guessed it, Ryanair are direct - Luftansa are one stop and generally 2x the price, so my company dictate i must use Ryanair. For 2 months of weekly travel they have always been on time - or very close to it. My current problem is, in this weather the planes are too hot - when loading passengers they switch off the ac so the plane gets hot quickly.
I cant stand Ryanair but as a budget airlines go they are majority of the time, close to or on time. BA have bumped me off a flight in Italy (I kicked up a massive fuss and they squeezed me on a flight), Emirates have been late - sprinting to catch connections, KLM & Air France have been faultless. Whizz are a bunch of cowboys and Fly Maybe are in the same bracket. Easyjet have been good, internal UK flights are good and Europe.

Yeah I have to agree - Easyjet are a leg up from Ryanair - but it's all getting worse, too many flights, operators and people piling all over the place using planes like buses.
I remember flying to Hawaii with Virgin ( at least to LA ) first class - OMG what heaven that was -
I think somehow the assumption we can all travel anywhere, for little money is flawed.
Oh, I got all my money back including the €55 parking I paid up front.

Glad you got your money back. The airports are as bad! Just shopping centers, each with their own rules for security!

Shit airline, run by a cooont! I'd rather stay at home than use this shower of shite.
Unfortunately, their profits are huge, so are a force to be reckoned with within the industry, i.e new plane orders and the ability to mistreat staff etc.
They won't go under, as O'Leary (?) says; "if you don't want to fly with me, there are plenty to take your seat" so basically, F Off.....and there are plenty of peasant types that want to pay the least amount they can.
Only way these fuckers will suffer is if one of their planes goes down due to their short cuts with only loading as little fuel as is necessary for flights or engineering errors due to the short turn-round times.
Despise them.

Trouble is they are adhering to the CAA rules and regs, funny how no one moans about Aldi or Lidl in the same way.
I don't like them but sometimes they are your only choice, haven't used them for a while as I am mainly using WizzAir.

I don't think anyone complains about Aldi or Lidl in the same way because, they might be cheap, but do not treat their customers like scum. (also both have an extremely well paid staffing programme).

Why is the stuff cheap someone gets screwed along the line or they sell "copied/fake" goods.
Maybe I should open a unit up and copy your goods, with a few changes to circumvent patent law, hmmmmm

No I haven't, people want cheap stuff/services, costs are cut to the minimum, you want a better service then pay for it.
If you want to fly and not deal with the riff riff and crap airlines then you do have choices as you can hire a private charter jet.
As a businessman you know about costs and overheads and how hard it is at the moment.

So, Ryanair today accused of bouncing compensation cheques they (no doubt reluctantly) issued to their customers - "admin error", as they were unsigned.
Classy company.

Stuttgart/Dublin - Hahn/Dublin return for €100?
I get a seat! I’d happily be ratchet strapped to the wing.
Aer Mingus and Lufthansa is two to three times the price.
