E30 Zone

Broke my hand badly last september so thought , "I will get all the bits together for a good re-furb for our road trip this May".
So my hip ball joint decided to give me grief in January and I had to stop work @6 weeks ago (back in the wheel chair) and cancel the road trip in May and now have just sorn`d the Baur.
It will not get done in the near future (niether will I .lol) my Boys have their own young families and good friends seem to get really scarce in these situation.lol
I know sometime soon ish... I will be fixed and my heart goes out to the people who will never be any better than I am right now so lets take the positives from life and do things right now !!!!

Sounds like it’s time for the Zone to come to the rescue. If I wasn’t so far away, I’d lend a hand to get the car completed for you.

It`s a matter of replacing bits already on the car Steve but the tax and insurance have now been cancelled so I`ll wait until it gets a little bit warmer and "supervise" one of my boys to do it.

Car SOS, I have it on good authority that the BMW 2002 Turbo was done mostly by a third party shop, and it was there for 2 months before it went for paint.

I have just watched (again) the DB6 car project.
It looked epic at the end, but in 6 weeks ?????
We all know that trying to source even the smallest part can take an age and these people do it all in mainly 3 weeks ???
By the way, who pays for all this, it must cost a small fortune?

Anyway, I`m not nearly Ill enough to be considered thankfully, and good luck to the recipients

It`s the mountain of regular parts that I built up for the engine/cooling areas when I broke my hand. The car is now on a sorn but was legal up to a couple of days ago.
I just got all "anal" over the autumn/winter and picked up parts that were for nothing or really cheap with the view to change them about now ish ready for my hols in late May but the hols will not happen now so no rush any more.
Like it or not this one will stay with me so I just wanted it right for the future so there was never any deadline as such.
With not working at the moment and dont know when I will , even I cant justify running the Baur .
