I took the Subaru out this morning for some fun on the empty roads............

Wish I could go somewhere like this though,

Looking forward to snow here. Want to play in the RR in the snow, though its going in for MOT tomorrow. Mind if it fails still got my CRV on oversized all terrains that should still be fun

Just a tiny sprnkle of snow last night but a hell of frost.

well i've just got back from what should have been a 10min drive, took me over 30mins to do it, & seen to lorrys that got stuck

made it out to check the bone yard and back home with the last of the bread and milk from the local fuel station , snow tyres on the front and summer tyres on the back = snow drifty bus

I went out this early this morning for some fun, it then snowed again so went out once more ;o)))))

As its London all has ground to a halt, the shelves are bare in the supermarkets and its the end of the world........

Not a speck of the stuff here

Glad I bought a BMW MINI a couple of weeks ago to replace my E39; it has traction control and a half-decent handbrake, and has been a little trooper so far...

It's temperature gauge is currently reading -2.5 deg C.

All the blasted water pipes have frozen up, so I've just had to fill the kettle with snow for a brew.

No tea, now that could be serious

Indeed. Actually, it wasn't a bad tasting cuppa, but it took an age for the snow to melt enough, despite the use of a bodyshop hot air gun and a heat lamp on it!

well round here it's getting bad, already seen a smash up involving 2 cars,
the roads are so bad i left the car at home & walked into town,

got the bus back home & even that was struggling,

saw a couple of vids on FB earlier of mablethorpe & skegness, both a complete white out, nothing can get in or out of either place.

Plenty of the white stuff here, and my 3.0L auto E39 has got everywhere I needed it too.

Trouble is in Europe its dry cold, in the UK its the damp that cuts through you, the lowest I ever experienced was -15 during the day and -28 at night, that hurts.

When I used to smoke it got so cold the cigarette would go out also its not a good idea to let the filter get wet as when it sticks to you lower lip as when you try to remove it from your mouth its a toss up between your fingers slide on the cigarette and you take the hot end off and have that stuck to you or you pull the top layer off your lower lip which is just as painful

Also remember having to brush the snow off the outside of the car then scrape the ice from the inside of the windscreen.......
