Not sure how many boxing fans on here but I seriously cant hold my excitement for this fight to finally happen!!

Alright its 5/6 years past the time it SHOULD have happened when both fighters were at their peaks but im not complaining as long as they put on a good show!

Im not sure who will win as mayweather is a defensive genius but ive always been and will be a pacquiao fan so want to see a nice 1 loss on mayweathers record!

So who have you got to win?

Too late to be meaningful for me, just the ultimate pension plan now.
Not that that will stop me watching it. Heart says Manny, brain and wallet side with Mayweather.
The fight I want to see happen is Golovkin v Cotto, or Mayweather at Middleweight.

Still can't believe it's finally going to happen, Money May for me as the way.

I was there last year for Mayweather vs Maidana, unreal experience

2k wont get much, flight/hotel/ticket cost me about 2.5k last year

If i could afford it i would love to go!

It might be 5 years too late in terms of them meeting in both their respective peaks...

But its not become an irrelevant affair like one past his best fighter fighting one approaching his or in his peak, like when Holmes fought Ali...

In the end of the day they are both similarly aged and past their best, Mayweather is older now and was older 5 years ago... overall Manny might be abit more shot worn , but thats down to his fighting style, wheras Mayweathers fighting style is preserving..

Out of the Ali-frazier trilogy, the third was by far the best and most brutal as both fighters were past their best, and both crossed paths at perfectly the right time...

True, but the Ali-Frazier had the advantage of history behind it.
Not saying this won't be a good bout, but it definitely won't have the prestige, for the winner, that it would have had 5 or even 2 years ago. Imo.

Golovkin v Cotto is the fight I'd like to see, but apparently Cotto doesn't fancy it one little bit.

It'll be a typical boring frustrating Floyd fight, with him jabbing and running... at the end when he wins on points (yawn) and Manny's there like "wtf the guy didn't even fight me".. Just like Saul Alvarez did.. they'll say he was the GOAT when in actual fact he never actually stands and fights.

I think that will be his game plan as always but manny has the skill required to draw him into a bit of a scrap.. hopefully lol

I just hope it actually lives up to the hype and isn't a boring 12 round decision..which i doubt but you never know in boxing!

This would be a totally one sided bloodbath imo...

I think Cotto still has enough brains to realise this and will steer well clear of Golovkin...

GGG is by far and away the best MW in the world, is apparently the hardest hitting MW in history backed up by his KO percentages... Possibly the number 2 pound for pound fighter in the world ... and pretty much the pound for pound hardest hitting fighter on the planet..

Cotto on the other hand is at best a blown up junior MW... who started out campaigning at LW (130lbs), who was basically gifted the WBC MW title when he beat a almost handicapped Sergio Martinez...

Horrible matchup that is made to look better because of Cotto's name and brilliant achievements at lower weights.

Saying that, i can see Cotto insisting on a catchweight lower than 160lbs in the hope making it abit fairer.... but GGG peoples insist that he can make 154lbs pretty easily, which is believable as demonstrated by last nights fight against Martin Murray, Golovkin does look a small MW, which makes his power even more phenomenal!

Certainly not, I think his defence is easily the best I've ever seen and very, very technical. The downside to having a negating skill such as that is you're very rarely going to be involved in a crowd pleasing scrap. I learned a long time ago that the best way to enjoy a Mayweather fight is to almost only watch him luring opponents in and continually setting them up. He is that good.

Thats why they call them the Mayweather sweep stakes!

Golovkin's trainer has said he would got down to JMW to fight Mayweather, as Floyd is the 154lbs champion as well as the 147lbs....

But if he comes through the Manny fight, I think Mayweathers safety first approach would make the Cotto fight more feesable at 160lbs..... as that would bring another world title at another weight class (MW) against someone he's already beat...

He should avoid Golovkin at all costs lol..... just too heavy handed for a 37-38 year old with only a fight or two left....

Bradley is not a very hard puncher, he is quick, but i can see another night of kahn jumping in..giving a 1-2 possibly 3 then jumping out again and racking up another points decision..iffff he doesnt get ko'd by a counter punch which he doesnt see

I tried training peek-a-boo a number of times and it's exhausting; working major muscle groups like nothing else. The amount of work and dedication he put in to be able to move so naturally like that is mind numbing!
Tyson may not be the greatest of all time over his career, but I can't think of another fighter (before or since) that could've lived with him when Rooney was around.

This video shows just how fast he really was. The way he out boxed Trevor Berbick and Michael Spinks proved just how good he was. You could always see the fear in his opponents eyes before the fight was to start.

Would like to meet Tyson someday, a very misunderstood character imo.
