I can't stand the idea of Facebook and all associated social network type things, I share stuff on here from time to time, but it is to some degree limited and certainly not very personal. It seems to me everyone wants to share everything with anyone all the time now, especially now with twitter (even worse IMO).

Anyway, I just won't sign up to all this rubbish, just wondering if anyone else is of the same ilk

Use it in the right way its great, keep in contact with people you may not see often have a laugh etc

I hate all the inane drivel people post about the day to day lives on there.

All i really post is when im having a rant or some car/work related stuff.

I use it primarily to keep up to speed with my far flung family members and old friends across the globe.

I also use it to poke fun at folk, who post up attention seeking stuff or general drivel.

However, I'm amazed at how much personal information people give away on social media sites - even on here, absolutely amazed

Im not a fan of social media either, my wife is constantly on it and its a source of annoyance for me that when we meet up with friends etc they all know exactly where we have been, where has had coffee etc...FFS..i hate it.

Im not against it and used properly facebook etc can be a good way to keep in touch with friends and relative etc...this i get.

My day to day life is boring enough without having to burden the rest of the world with it..!

I'm not on there so voted no. And I wouldn't subscribe either. I can't stand the idea of it all to be honest. From what I've seen, 90% of it is as Barry says, inane drivel that is of naff all interest. My time is more valuable than have some wanker I can't stand from the past, track me down and bore me shitless again!!!

And the fact that theres people on there with a "I love french heaps of shit" on there has just sealed it for me. Get a life or jog on pal!

I just use facebook as an update for my cars...thats it really.

i can't stand all that sh1t, telling everybody every move you make. it's like trying to live in a gossip magazine, ridiculous. just get on with your life without feeling the need to declare to the world FFS!

Trevs comment regarding the people from the past, I quite agree, if I've not spoke to them in twenty years, why the f uck would I want to start now?? I'm in regular contact with one friend from school, my best pal for the last 24 years and that's it.
I can't even be arsed with family sh1t on there,and I keep hearing, it's on Face book this..... it's on Face book that.....FFS

I use FaceBook, Twitter & Instagram for work purposes. Hardly ever post on there personally and cannot abide the inane drivel as mentioned above. But it's great for business...

Same here, I mainly just post funny rants/ observations on life and funny stuff whilst being bored at work and some good banter with mates

Its handy for seeing things for sale/free etc or wanted blah blah, (amongst friends not them crappy local but sell pages that are single mum selling kids clothes shit)

Use it as a good tool in the right way its all good

As for keeping in contact with mates/laughs , its not like your mats bird rings you up to tell you how hed got stuck or had done sort of funny misshap, but hilarious when she puts it in faceboook and you all have a right laugh

Plus not to mention its good for pics of sluts n girls n hot birds you know !!

I do a lot more reading/observing than I do posting, some of the pics are great anyway

Suicede girls, tattooed girls , lingerie something or other , etc etc daily pics in newsfeed always brightens the day

Great to keep in touch with relatives far away
Great for business
Great for a laugh & socialising.

I simply unfriend or block those that talk shit about their day to day life on there...
Would love to tell them no one gives a f uck but I try to keep my wall clean.

I cull my list quite often so its just family & close friends.

Private account means I avoid most of the BS but have noticed the new fad of people putting "PT" after their name. They must be very proud.
