got to replace my cam and followers anyway.

rest of engine will be standard inc log exhaust.

how much low down was lost?

what happened to tickover?

how much top end was gained?

what chip are you using?

is there any reason why it wouldn't work with LPG (future plan)?

I'm toying with the idea of a mild Cat cam for my 2.3 - when I get 'round to building it.
It will be running about 10:1 compression and possibly larger inlet valves but apart from that will be totally standard and running on LPG (with super unleaded for starting only).
I'm not looking for ultimate power, I want as much mid-range as I can muster.

no i think they do a milder one below this. I have a 273/273 in my touring and it's a peaky hairy little bastard. Big valve lift on this

Livened up my engine a treat

Yeah just instaled a 273/273 off ant and its a good cam, coupled with a bbtb i think there is a little bit of touq lost down low, but well worth he pounds.

Btw simon did you change the rockers when you did the cam because i kept the original ones and found the a bit more tappety, also did you use a vernier pully.
thanks.

If you go for extra capacity(2.7/8) you will get all the torque you need.

i replaced them yes and new eccentrics also. You should always use new rockers with a new cam. Unless the old rockers are perfect

The only reason it went was because it snapped a rocker. The cam was f**ked and worn and the rockers the same. So all new it had to be

Had this conversation umpteen times over the last 4 years. I've got all the bits - except a chip - to do a 2.3, so 2.3 it will be.
