How much would this make?

Not sure this is the right section to post this, but anyway:

My Dad is considering selling his 325i Touring as it just sits in the garage now not being used.

1990 325i touring in lachs silver, taxed until May and MOT'd until August. Showing 168000 miles but with 60000 mile early M20 engine (no proof of mileage) near mint 15' BBS and good tyres. Cloth recaros in good condition. Tec 1 steering wheel.

Has a few cosmotic issues. Minor surface rust patches on tail gate, lacquer peel on sun roof and painted faded in some areas. Nice interior but the headlining is sagging in the boot.

Just wondered what you chaps thought this would be worth and if anyone would be interested in it. My Dad loves it but just doesn't have the time to take care of it and give it the attention it deserves.

Will get some more detailed pictures up if enough interest is generated.

What do you think?

Its got to be orth more than that! Tourings seem to be the 'in' e30 at the moment, price it £1495 with an expected sale price of £1300-£1400

Since it has almost 6 months MOT, engines seems good if its for real too. and it has the normal refinements people buy in the first couple of months too, like sports seats, bbs alloys, tech 1 wheel.

All e30's have scabs these days, and the chrome rocker cover is a nice touch, engine looks cared for.

Not necessarily, Touring prices seem to have rocketed just lately.
I'd put about 1200 on it. And I paid about 750 for mine too...

i paid £1200 for mine with 80000 miles, tech2 kit, leather ,lsd etc with a years mot.
faded paint, laquer peeling, rust bubbles, 168000 miles says a grand max to me.

In that light if it was me, I'd sell the interior, tech 1 wheel, bbs alloys, and chrome rocker cover on ebay and then replace with a normal rocker cover comfort 4 door interior, 4 spoke steering wheel and some bottle tops and then sell the touring and you would still see the good side of 1k.

Its currently being used as my dump / scrapyard car, the plate will get removed and then it will make it's final journey into 'the bushes' where it will reappear from a few months later as a morsel free carcass ! :)

Id' say a £1200 but expect £1G.

I bought my 92 318i for £800 but it had A/C and an immaculate body / interior.

The fact it didn't sell for 750 doesn't mean it wasn't worth it! Just bad timing would be my guess, your car is easily 750-1000 for the right buyer, maybe the b20 haters also did their part.

Sorry for thread hijack, I'd say 700 or so for a relatively quick sale for that silver touring, possibly more if willing to wait a bit for the right buyer (not everyone has the same discount-ability as pacerpete :) )

Thing is id give a grand for it, with reason beut when you break it down the engine, with that miles should be ok but if the car has done over 168,000 then its probably going to need arb drop links control arm bushes, rear axle arm bushes, prop coupling and centre bearing possibly a clutch and these are all just things you expect to replace on a car with this sort of miles.
If its had some of all all of this done in its life then perhaps for than the grand but if not its going to cost a lot to get it in a good state, especially if the respective buyer hasnt any or little mechanical skills.
But i cant really speak as id swap a kidney and my wife for an E30 :D
