it has been shadow lined now. and it will have a single wiper conversion done. it needs a n/s wing and door witch i will fit and paint beror sale. the car has been lowered 45mm with Gmax shocks and springs, mim1900 15s in fair condition with good tires. piper cross induction kit with a magnex exhaust, lsd, sparco strut brace, chiped ecu (according to the previous owner). it also has headlight brows and black kidney grills. long tax and test. the car is very solid with just a few small rust spots starting on the sun roof. its got the useual e30 hunting problem but it only does it on and off, more off than on to be honest. i think it is the throttle switch as i have changed everything else. it has never let me down and always starts first time. it has 135000 miles on it but no service history.

good honest solid 4 door royal blue 320 ise.

THIS IS NOT AN ADVERT. i just wondering what people think its worth.
thanks for any input.

its hard to say I don't think you can put an average price on any e30 they vary so much condition wise and so-on
I have a 320sei with a genuine 53k on the clock completely standard and mint I keep getting offers from strangers who see it but i have no idea how much it is worth ? chances are it's probably worth somwhere near what you paid for it/or how much you have in it I don't think they are going down in value :?

Unfortunately 4 door cars are unloved. Unfortunately 320's are unloved. So,like me,you have the least popular engine in the least popular shell....will make a sound base for a conversion. Why sell? Grab a 325 motor and a 3.64diff,stir in a 2.8 crank and get the car you always wanted....

Hardly anybody wants a 4-door 320i, & those who do aren't after performance upgrades! You'd be much better off putting it back to standard & swapping those bits onto a 325i...

seems like a good solid base, your prob better off dropping a 325 engine in there. at least you know what needs to be done onthe shell, better the devil you know eh.

Don't mess it up by going to a single wiper, I never understood why anyone does that. it doesn't make it go faster, it would put me off the car completely, also it'll be worth more if you fix the hunting prob, unless the buyer isa BMW expert they'll be put off as it's fuel injection related and if you're not handy with spanners or electrics that could be expensive.

Looks clean enough otherwise, I don't know £750...?
I just bought a cleanish 325 touring for £950 and I'm basing it on that.

Am afraid aftermarket accessories/tuning parts rarely increase the value, I don't bother with them anymore.

You are right about aftermarket tat not increasing the value of a car but you are wrong to compare a 4 door E30 to a 325 touring, one is a sought after pleasant , useful car, the other is ............. :)

Put it back to standard.

Rear lights, interior, fix all the niggling bit's of trim and any electrical gremlins.

Don't spend money on the wing and door as you will end up making nothing.

If it was a tidy original then you might get £900.

FORGET the single wiper conversion - please!

Unless you need the money, take your time doing and it and keep it.

Prices can fluctuate and the more years go by and more E30's die, the cleaner original one's are worth more - 320i 4 Door or not...

no chance, lol.

thanks for all the comments and sugestions from u all. i am looking out for a clean 2 door shell when i can raise the funds, failing that a 2.5 lump will do for now. i really need 4 doors at the moment as its a daily runner and i have kids. like i said i'm not looking to sell it, i just wondered what people think. funnily enough i will have a bog standard car exactly the same as mine for sale soon. so prob be lookin for about £600 ono for that.

Really don't get why 320's are unloved - they are great cars - OK no real difference in performance than a 318 but super smooth and a proper BMW engine note. When I was looking for my first E30 I was going to buy a 318i as they were cheaper and easier to inure than 320i's but one test drive in a 6 cylinder car just sold it for me. Driving a 4 cylinder BMW isnt much different to driving a good Ford or Vauxhall - driving a 6 cylinder car is driving a BMW.

No offence 316 /318 guys.......
