Convertible front wings

Hello
I'm I right in thinking the only difference between a convertible wing and a coupe/saloon wing is the length of the section that covers the sill??
If so it's cut and shut time

Hi, I dont know, but try going to the oem section, and doing the diffrent serch and see if the part numbers are the same or not. hth

yes the sill section is bigger

They are diffrent at the bottom where the trim fits on.

if you take a wing off you will see a welded join where the lower part is added to the wing the rest is the same as a saloon one if only someone remade this part as a repair panel it would save you having to go to bmw every time if i remember right £258 each inc vat

Spot on Dave - i've fitted a cut + shut wing to the Tourer, nothing to do with size issues - just rust lol.
Side skirts of a tec1 just cover the welded line
