Ok, do you have all the parts needed, i.e front struts/hubs/calipers, etc etc.

Is this all a straight forward fitment also?

you will need e36 evo front control arms otherwise your front wheel wont sit in the middle of the arch.it will sit to the back of it and looks poo

i think you need adjustable camber and caster or you will compromise the awesome handling of your e30.

i dead keen on doing this conversion till i looked into the parts of everything id need. especially when you consider that puttin standard suspy in is a bit of a waste of time. if your goin to completely change your suspension why not go to adjustable coil overs and upgraded sway bars. then while your there change all your bushes for heavy duty or nolathane. i reckon itd cost a couple of grand to do it properly. but ud have serious weapon.

I'm in a bind.. I currently have full E30 M3 suspension that I upgraded with Bilstein shocks etc..

On my project car I have the rear arms from a ZMRoadster which I am going to git.. For the front I have two options.. Either fit the E30 M3 stuff I already have and get spacers that sit BEHIND the disk to space the hub for both the disk and the E36 whells; OR get some bilstein E36 M3 Evo shocks and the lower arms.

I'm not sure which route to go for. Many people say that the E30 M3 suspension route is best, but then with the appropriate camber/castor adjusting topmounts could I get the E36 set up to the same specs?

Can anyone help with this? Many thanks.

why do you want to space the disk aswell? Just run the standard M3 disc and a 20mm spacer. You may run into issues with the disc size being different on the E36 front compared to the E30 m3.

I plan to use the E36 M3 calipers.. They'll bolt to the E30 M3 hubs directly and give me the correct brake bias etc withh the rear MCoupé calipers. I also want to run E36 wheels and E36 (312mm, ally bell'd) front disks.

That'll require spacers that fit behind the disk and have flanges the same as the e36 hub flange. Basically a 'hub adaptor' from E30M3 to E36M3 specs...

jai, use the m-coupe rears with e36 M front and discs spaced to suit, then run e36 rims..

That's what I've been intending all along, just recently it's dawned on me that I could shift the full E30 M3 gear if I used E36 parts. As long as I get the correct bit to get the geometry to spec.

Not sure.. Need to look into it, get some facts and figures about the geometry... I suspect using the E30 front struts is the better route though.
