I want to do a gearbox oil change having already done the diff, car is 1990 318is and diff was none LSD, do you know best oil to use????

I use SAE80 gear oil bought at Partco in both of my cars.No,that's not quite right,I use ATF in the 4 door because 'er in doors was moaning about the stiff/heavy gearchange on the 2.7.But I do use SAE80 in both open diffs Remember to remove the filler plug first,as it is very difficult to refill the 'box from the drain plug....
