Pimping some wheels

Contrary to my normal appraoch to car prep I'm considering spraying some of my 15" BBS RIMS black on my E30 Race CAR.
I know I could get them refurbed and powder coated but my overall budget isnt £50 a wheel, more like £25 the lot.
So any suggestions how I can get a reasonable finish on a Budget ?
Maybe some chemical stripper, under coat and rattle tin ?
Any pics would be good
TIA
Richard

Here is how i did mine, still looking good now! the other set i did over a year ago and they still look mint also!

hope that helps!
roughly 1 250ml can per wheel did the job, couple of free papers, 1 roll of masking tape and a couple of cheap packs of cards!
as with anything though it is all in the preperation, mims I just used sandpaper though when I did the fondmetal wheels (lattice style) I used paint stripper and they took much longer, painted the whole wheel black then masked the centre off and did the rim silver.

That looks very tidy, my car is Calypso red as well
I also have the rims with no tyres so that wil lmake things a little easier
What was the paint you used, just halfrauds primer and black paint ?

was from a local motor factors, cheaper than halfords and they know what a car is!
Halfords paint should do the job though.
car Looked better in the pics than in real life, the laquer peel was terrible in places and rear quarter had been badly painted so I did this.....
If I were to do it again I would probably laquer the wheels to preotect them a little more from brake dust though
