E30s being stolen in West Sussex

Just so you guys know.
I got pulled over by the police last night asking if my E30 was actually mine.. After a puzzled look I gave them all my details and they ran the plates and all was okay.
But they said the reason they pulled me over was because a lot of these style BMWs (E30s) are being stolen in the Worthing/Littlehampton area, so if you're in this area or visit this area, be careful where you park/leave you car!
Cheers.

They normaly come out with that crap. Due to them being small minded boggots who stop perfectly legal people who drive a certain brand of car in the hope of getting lucky.
Lazy idiot method of enforcing the law.

Yeah sounds like a excuss to me, Everytime ur stopped in ur car u have to be given a substantial reason for the stop.
To me it was a quick check on u.
Did they issue u with a 5090 or was it words of wizdom only??
Martinaston r u saying we only pick on BMW drivers

They issued me with a white piece of paper, no idea what it was. A quick stop form he said.
But on there as the reason for stop it says: 'Driving old style BMW in area smv-old (BMW)'
And 'Stolen Property' was ticked.
Perhaps it was just an excuse but just thought I'd let you guys know.
Cheers.

its strange they can be arsed to pull you over to talk shit
but when someone hits you , or your car's damaged or stolen
we will call you if we hear anything is what they say - what they mean we dont really care about minor car crime especially old bmw's, so we will give you some crap to fob you off for now and go back to getting paid to much money to piss people off
crap totall crap

more cases of scum (ery)
i got stopped once for my de cated E36 being to loud !!!!
compared to what i said
he then proceded to tell me there was a law against exhausts being to loud and how i was breaking the law

, tried to give me a producer and some ticket which needed to be sighned by a MOT STATION. until i asked him what the limit was, how he knew it was to loud and where his decibal meter was ?
a caution it is then !!!

but he told me if he said if he saw me again without fixing the problem he would give me a ticket ok then mate

Reading the title put a chill down my spine, a few years back a friend of mine had his e30 stolen, i then heard of three more that had been stolen that week in the same area!
One of my cars was also stolen (not an e30), a copper turned up on my doorstep at 6 in the morning to tell me about it.....the thing that pissed me off was the fact the police said they had to stop the pursuit due to the thieves crossing the west sussex/hampshire borders!!
So i reserve a special, very acute hate for car thieves/vandals....i wont go into what i would do to someone i caught with thier hands on mine

When I lived in the valleys it was common practise to nick a red car drive to Swansea, then nick a colour and drive up the valley then nick another red and drive to Swansea ect ect...
It was called car snooker, but what amused me most was the fact on these nights of fun and games the police would just stop any red car the saw, as it was the best chance of catching them. The couldn't be bothered to do an better police work.
Always owned black and silver cars myself, blacks rarely got stolen! no such thing as a silver snooker ball!

Nah never nicked white cars don't know why, but I guess it was just for practicality reasons they were normally caught mid spree and turned out to be some valley council scronging under 16 uneducated lazy scrotes.

Why do they turn up at 6am, regardless of what time your car was actually nicked!!!! And expect you to be awake and sober!!!!
Is it just something to do while they wait for the canteen to open???
