MK4 Vauxhall Astra are 4x100 and come with 15in steels on the peasant spec models, then get them banded.

Thats my plan anyway

Sorry to thread-jack, but I'm intrigued buy this steelie retro fashion. Has anyone got any pics of E30s with them on?

thats the site that got me all exited! ive always had a thing for wide steels! just think german cars slammed over wide steels painted silver look awsome! was thinking 9x15's on the rear and 7x15's on the front.

deep dished steels rock!

wow now thats a cool wheel! my dads yank had 15.5 '' wide wheels on the rear and looked very similer to that. dont think i can be arsed with the aggro of fitting them to my e30! lol would not be able to break traction ever! just millions of driveshafts!

Wide-wheels are pretty pricey though tbh £300 for a set of15's, and you have to supply the wheels. So talking closer to £350, which is only £100 off a set of new Rota's which will be a shite sight lighter.

There's places abroad (Holland, Germany) that are better VFM, its just a case of tracking them down. I'll be looking into it for in the New Year if anyone is interested on a mini group buy??

Golf G60 steels. 15x6 as standard and I'm pretty sure you can still buy them from vw brand new. Good looking steel wheel as well. I think there's a couple of contacts on Retro-rides who can band your wheels for less that £300

G60 steels aren't that nice to look at though.

Wide wheels were selling some banded G60s for £420 on Driftworks not so long ago

Dont look as good as normal steels banded IMO

Banded steels are a bit silly arent they? I notice they have not really caught on.

Are they road legal? And they must weigh a stupid amount.

When working for bm in turin, one of the germans had a company 318 E46 with 17" steels on it (no hubcaps, just a bolt cover) :) , looked pretty damn cool!
