just a useless post to say how absolutely brilliant bmw engines sound!!!
finished bolting my 335 back together today and barring an mot and a bit of paint on the bodykit it's pretty much done.
have decided i don't need or want 24 valves or hydraulic tappets. m30s are about the best sounding engines ever, don't remember being in a nicer sounding car
so if your 6pot sounds like a bag of spanners then fix it and enjoy it, there's no better noise!

Theres nothing better than driving in a confined space, windows down and draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawing out the revs, not thrashing it,just enjoying the sound of the lovely lump in front as you go through the 'box

I was enjoying that vid til I saw the temp guage was on cold and then I started wincing on every rev!
Please tell me the engine was warm and the temp guage just isn't connected

Good to see the beast back on the road Toby , you continue to amaze me with the rate you did the conversion ,broke it , fixed it , fitted brakes , suspension , body kit, etc. and in that time my conversion has had a rear disc upgrade and a clutch pedal fitted (car was an auto) how the hell do you find the time ? Those alloys look awesome, the dirtier the better.

john

It was warm honest !
That vid clip was done just after the conversion was done,it had the E34 temp sender in still which doesn't work with the E30 temp gauge properly.
It's going to sound even better when i fit the throtle bodies you can see in my sig pic !
