Paint for springs?

got the yellow m-tech shox and red springs on my 325, the paint has started flaking off the springs... anyone know the paint to use on springs? enamel?

i think its plastic coatings.

i would have thought enamel would crack? i would try and use something with a plasticy base,

ive used that cheap plasticote paint on stuff before and found it super durable. Just an idea..

i`ve got them sanded down nice now, i`ll have a look today in halfords see what kinds of paint they do

I have used Finnigans Smoothrite and it works well....

think its called hammerite in the uk m8 have used it and its top stuff

You can get smoothrite and hammerite, one has a hammered finish, the other... wait for it...smooth.

I'm glad this topic came up, I'm about to do the rear spring on my crosser while it's in bits.
