PAS Moaning

Recently had PAS pu on the old girl....
Its been fine for a while but now it moans when you turn the steering wheel either way
Any clues ???

That'll be the pump on the way out or low PS fluid from a leak?
If it's a squeal - you'll need to tighten the PS belt.

Fluid looks ok and I put some news paper under the engine area last night, nothing to report this morning

My car does this too when the power steering fluid gets low (I have leaky hoses I think).
I think I'm right in saying you have to check the level with the engine running or it can be misleadinig.

i also used to get an occassional moaning from my car when turning left or right. over time it spread and got worse so it was moaning when turning,going forward, reversing, braking and accelerating. eventually pinpointed the source of the moaning to my wife in the passenger seat. kicked her out and told her to get the bus and ive never been bothered with that whining moan since

But he Says hee's put PAS on his old girl, no wonder she's moaning!
