Thinking of coming back

I sold my E30 earlier this year due to the arrival of another baby, and I am thinking that I made a bit of a silly mistake. I am still pining after my old sterling silver 320iSE that I sold to Jack and nearly bought back of him for the third time but left it to late. :x
(Its on my banner) Hope the next guy looks after it!! winkeye

No use crying after spilt milk though is it.

So at the moment I am driving a Saab 93 that I want to keep if I can, I have always liked Saabs, but I am wondering what to do? Do I have an E30 as a 3rd car and just use it for the summer months then keep it sorned off road during the winter.
Thinking of getting a tourer or even a 4 door saloon maybe auto, there seems to be some nice ones about or back to the 2 door coupe. I like the 320iSE although I know its not that popular. The 4 doors do seem to have a more classic look about them don't they???
So then do I don't I??
Whats the opinions chaps, 2 door, 4 door, tourer????

Will I get away with it with the Mrs???

touring is the best option and can easily be approved by your missus by telling her its a family friendly 4 door 'estate'

Get a touring mate.
You will need the room for the buggy and the shopping.
4 doors for the baby car seat and the wife/girlfriend.
leather would be good because its easier to clean with the milk spillages winkeye

I sold my touring to a fella on here, and he had new family also winkeye

The 325 touring came with suspension/brakes second only to the M3.
The smaller engined tourings all came with suspension/brakes similar to that of the 325 saloon or 318iS

its all about the 2 door for the fun summer or the 325 touring for all year round 'practicality' and sweet-as style! and power, and speed, and balls

Touring...you can pick late ones up for sod all and the only bits that rust are the tailgates...and they look good too

I'd have to say a touring is next on my list.

Classic looks and hugely practical. 2/4 drs have such a stupid boot (Quite large but opening only allows smallish items to be put in)

325 touring with a tech 2 kit and hartge's

Having just bought a touring, i'd say go that that....much more practical than my coupe, and looks the nuts. I went for a sports auto, as it's much better for doind shopping runs etc, and much better as a cruiser. Still drives and handles well aswell :D

touring for the winter, just think of the amount of crap you could take to the tip, without ramming it all in the backseats or something :D

That'd be me then Gareth !?

The touring drives much the same as the saloon models but with the added benefit of near 50/50 weight distribution, albeit with a small weight/acceleration penalty.

Also tourings tend to have less body rot, they were made in the same factory as the E34 5 series I'm led to believe, better steel ?

Cheers,

Iain T

Correct. So was the iS and Cabs I believe. I don't think it was better steel but better facility's.

mine isnt. only driven a standard 325 touring once on the way down to the garage to have the engine ripped out so cant really comment. mine drives and handles well though.
