1988 BMW M3 176km
Thinking im going to have to sell to buy a bloody diesel as im doing big miles now.
Its just been repainted last month, new exhaust and gearbox rebuild this month, 12months mot 12months tax, bbs rs's, mint interior, full box file of history incl german history.
Whats it worth?

Whatever someone's willing to pay!
I'd guess around 6-7k as it's not original colour.

I'd say max is almost on the button, an original colour respray would have added value, also depends on the quality of the work and stuff like that, can't really gauge it from the info you've given but looking on Pistonheads at similar cars I'd expect you cold sell it for 6-7k.
Probalem is these cars are moving very slowly at the moment from what I've seen! (especially on the zone!) Got a car in mind for P/X you might get some extra interest if/when you actually do sell?

Unfortuanatly you haven't had the car long either, I would bet they will appreciate in value as they have for the past couple years. As long as you get out even or just a few pennies down I wouldn't be too worried. I doubt a large payout on your investment is in the future if you sell so soon.
Unless you bought it at an absolute bargain price!

i have thought about gas, as i have mentioned on here in the past, my father is pioneering a gas kit for diesels which not only bumps the economy up it also increases bhp and torque to over 40% (have dyno sheet from owen developments to prove this) so im keen to get a diesel to get it fitted, not only would it be a good pr tool for him it'd be bloody cheap motoring for me so win win really
I really dont want to sell the M3, tbh if i can i'll store it and use it on weekends and track days but atm its not looking like i can afford to

Would it be possible to keep the M3 and run something cheap and diesel? Something unloved like a Citroen ZX or Mk1 Mondeo seem capable of high millages and still around in reasonable numbers.

stall the bills mate, and dont worry about the strut brace for now
push the wheels and take a hit on them and not the car.

That's eBay for you... Could have put a decent BIN on there to show what you're after?
(the black grill really doesn't suit it imo - would look much classier with the original, & dare I say attract a classier buyer?!)
At the end of the day it's just a car so don't get too upset - you'll get another one soon enough I'm sure!

Don't sell the fecking M3. It's stunning.
Can't you sue your bank and recover bank charges/PPI payment monies ??? There has to be a way around this.

hahaha, worth considering it
yeh im pretty sure the bank owes me over 2k in charges so far, bunch of robbing turds, i have 9 days to work something out

You'd struggle to sell an M3 in 9 days too mate.
If your in real trouble have you considered an IVA, or phoning whoever you owe and aranging a payment plan? If they know you can't pay and there is a risk of them never seeing they're money again then they may be more flexible to payment terms.
