E30 Zone

I took a drive to the Guildford cruise with the missus after the Surrey meet on Sunday night. Got there about 9, but the entrance was blocked by PC Plod cause apparently it was really full. Anyway i parked up along with a few other cars in a bus stop and we chatted to each other for a few minutes when a motorbike kop came up and told us to move along. I was just about to put my seat belt on and move when he comes out with "I TOLD YOU TO MOVE" I told him to get a life and keep his fcuking hair on and it turned into a bit of an argumet. He threathened to knick me after about 5 minutes, so i thought i'd best shut it and go home. I'd only travelled 100 yards when another motorbike cop pulls me. This time it was "Why have you got you front screen displaying a DVD?" I knew he was going to say that when he pulled me, so i changed the screen from the DVD channel to the Sat Nav channel before i stopped. He must have felt a bit stupid, so he claimed a Van that was parked on the side of the road was a DVLA plate reader and my car has come back as having no valid road tax. Again he had a look at my screen and there was a fully valid tax for a year. In the end he wanted a full road side check to be done on the car (Including my tyres atc), but againg nothing came of it, then he played his ace up his sleeve, which was "Why is the D on your plate illigally spaced?) Bingo. He had me by the short and curlies then. After 10 minutes of butt kissing to save myself a fine and 3 points on my lisence, he got a call on his radio and decided to let me go with a promise that i'd change the plates the next day. My question is, I've got the plate E3 BEN, which doesn't need to be illigally spaced or anything like that. It say's what it say's. Do you think it has the same impact as D4DY B or shall i risk it and leave the current plate on?

One thing i have noticed is that if you have a nice car at a cruise they always pull you and try and find something to do you for. I dont know if they're trying to discourage peeps from going to these places or whatever

I personally think they have a problem with the fact that your car cost more to do than their entire salary (before tax)!

however, I would advise you not to have an arguement with them (even though you are 6ft whatever and can clearly handle yourself ) as you're car aint exactly inconspicuous (sp?)

As for the reg plate, go with E3 BEN-does what it says on the tin!get shot of the D4DY B, gotta be worth enough to buy the e36 m3 engine you want

Swap the plates Ben, D4DY B is always going to give the police something to do you for if they can't find anything else on the car.

Theyre all a shower of bastards. I have no respect for the police anymore. They never solve any real crimes as its too easy for them to pick on motorists.

You know what? I have enough respect for most officers, cause i know they do quiet a difficult job, but there are one or two that spoil it for the majority with their attitude and the fact that they are high and mighty cause of the power they have. I've been running doors for 10 years now and if i've learned one thing, it's that your attitude can diffuse or ignite a situation. These rouge officers have to realise that not everyone who goes to a cruise is a spotty 18 year old chav with a Burburry cap and Saxo or Nove. I'm a 33 year old man who designs Oil rigs for a living (Although i'm in Rail at the moment) so i wont tolorate some jumped up fool in his tight leathers talking to me like a cnut. Especially in front of my missus cause there's just no need for it.

Funny cause the last person that spoke to me like that in front of my lady was a caffe owner a few months back. I went in with the missus and her friend for a fry up and i ordered 3 house specials. 5 minutes later the waitress plonks a plate full of food in front of me and i tuck in. A minute later matey comes up screaming at me that i was eating the wrong food and that i must be stupid. I politly explained that i ordered a house special, but didn't know what was on it, so just ate what was put in front of me. He still wasn't having any of it and proceeded to shout and call me all sorts of names. I told the ladies that we should leave, so we walked to the car which was parked outside. I made sure the girls were in the car and told my lady that i'd forgotten something. I went back and gave him the slapping of his life. He must have been a real nasty piece of work cause everyone in the caffe was clapping when he started to cry like a bitch and begging for forgiveness Anyway, Violence never solves anything so i would't encourage anyone else to do the same

although would D4 DYB work just as well legally spaced?

I think you should just change it, it least it wont give them the satisfaction of beating you if you've done nothing wrong and then they nick you because of your plate.

D4 DYB doesn't quiet have the same effect as D4DY B does it. I think the best thing would be to change it and save myself a load of grief. I already got 3 points the other day for chatting on my mobile. I really dont want anymore so i guess D4DY B will now have to RIP

Besides, too many people recognise the car from the plate anyway. Saying that E3 BEN is hardly Inconspicuous is it If anything, it's even worse.

LOL, its funny how people like that always back down and get really scared when you stand up to them. Last person I had threatended to take me outside. When I stood up and asked what he said he just sat down and said "uhh nothing nothing".

As for the cops, Ive got friends and family in them and I know about 50% of them are fine but its the dicks at the top or who think theyre at the top who cause all the agro.
