Yep, I bought a set of 16" RS003s of this site for £500. The lad even delivered them for that. Nobody else even sniffed his advert. The mind boggles.

yet when ever anyone posts up a pic of some there is always a gaggle of people asking how much, where can they get some, why can't they find any etc etc.

It certainly was.
Advert was on here for a few days before I noticed it. Loads of people asking for more pictures, how many A levels he had, what size shoes he took and would he take Nectar points.
Shame they didn't clear my brakes. I have a cunning plan though.

I've got a set in my shed. got them for £900, but after valves and tyres they cost me neared £1300, less than half what I paid for the car though, even if it is currently a skanked up heap o crap, but next summer it will be well finished finally (I hope, maybe)!

I spoke to Felgenman.de about making me a set of 18x13 rear and 18x10 front for my Rieger and tehy said the cheapest they could do was 2.5k. Sounds like i should have taken them up on it

That covers a few things
I have to agree, I think RM/RS's look a little out of place on E30's without a deep lip or 15". Just my opinion though.

DaveD, they are a 15" RM, standard fit VW Golf G60 wheels, 10 a penny in Germany.
Hardly comparable rareness or value wise to a 4x100 16" RS.

You can always buy deeper lips for bbs splits anyway....

Yep and they're
only a few hundred sheets a pair
To be honest there's no such thing as cheap RS. Even my £500 ones would have bumped upto about £1300 to get them how I wanted - i.e. new dishes , bolts, caps etc.
Once you look at making your own set you can see why they always make the money they do once in top spec.

I reckon if you want a set of RS003s with a nice rim, shiney bolts etc budget £2k with tyres and you should be OK.

Might give Felgenman a bell to see if they still want to make me a set of 18's for 2.5k

The original post DID NOT mention the size of the rims..the standard size on an e30(non m3) is 15"....its all you folk that need an p***s extension getting in a froth
besides 15" give a better ride ...and are available which is more than be said for the others and Jamie you like the rims on your father m3...that says it all.!

15" RS exist and are pretty damn rare as well,
as for RM's if built to say 8" and 9" by 15 with nice details they are worth silly money as well.

the original post mentiond BBS RS, not RMs which you linked to, which is why there was probably a smidge of micky taking

There's a car in Iceland (where I'm from) with 15" BBS RS. The car is absolutely gorgeous
