Just looked at a 318i auto 1990 got a scrape on one of the arches ,couple of little rust paches drives nice bit of noise on power steering pump,15" alloys, seats are worn, with 124000 on it in dark red with an MOT no rot to be found anywhere .

All depends on how much MOT and Tax it has IMO.

2months MOT and No tax about £150 (if the BBS are in good condition with nice tyres)

Longer MOT and Lots of Tax upto £500 - but I wouldn't pay that.

I'd want some tax if I was paying over £500!

Does it sound like a sewing machine?!

If it does!

that seem like a good buy, most 318's have been looked after and it give J a blank canvas to hake the car his own.

Could be...

Haven't seen the car yet so haven't got a scooby.

That was my first thought when he said it was not metallic.

Defiantly.

Manual conversion and interior will come first. Then onto body few subtle tweeks. Then suspension, brakes and a Z3 rack. Will be sticking short shifter in with new gearbox. Maybe clutch too.

That's if I do clutch but if it's ok then won't bother. Only an M40 that will get changed next year anyway...

flywheel needs swapping anyways, and clutch needs to come off to fit it.. So might as well, can use it on the m42 also i believe

Will probably keep box and engine together depending on which is the best engine. If we split them I will.
