i plan on having my "ix" pretty stock with a few "stealth" upgrades. hella smilies, euro grille, "is" front lip, mark d performance chip, new sound system, changing my pioneer head unit to the stock one because it looks the best:D .not gonna really mod it out or anything too drastic. the steering wheel is the airbag one found on the later e30s. may change it to an m tech a bit later. the "ix" really is that high, a couple inches higher than a non ix. the suspension is stock so its not raised or anything. with blizzaks its a beast in the winter.

the 325 though, is in very bad condition. so i can do whatever i want. im gonna try to restore it and if its in too bad of condition or too expensive i will gut it, sell some parts, and use it as a strictly autocross car. the interiors in pretty bad condition so it may not be worth saving. im pretty young, 17. so i dont know a lot about cars so for the past few months ive been taking apart the ix and putting it back together. thats the main reason i got the regular 325. so i can "completely" gut the car, interior and exterior and the engine and learn that way. car was free so im not losing any money. e30s are great cars to learn on and are a blast to drive

any other "ix"ers on this site?

i cant change the steering wheel yet because my parents think without an airbag ill die, even though a 20 year old airbag is crap and probably more dangerous than none. and euro bumpers would be great but $$$$$$$, AGGGGGH!!! and im leaving it up high because i kinda like the fact that its an "ix" and is raised for a reason. i live in northeast usa and it snows a lot in the winter.

snow + "ix" + parking lot = :D :D :D

and also my parents made me give back the 325!!!! it doesnt run and i was gonna fix it up, and they think that thats a waste of money    , im gonna work on it next summer though, and get an m tech steering wheel.
