dunno if that particular one is any good but you can get a short shift cheap by using BMW Z3 parts from the main dealer. I had that setup on my e30s and it made a huge difference.
The part numbers etc are listed in the 'articles' section btw

How much is it up at...?
Dealer supplied Z3 shifters are brilliant. I have the Z3 1.9 on the track car, and the even shorter Z3 2.8 lever on my Sport. It REALLY makes a HUGE difference! Well worth doing. Might even go for the super-short Z3M lever on the track car when the 3.5 goes in...

Ԛ£41 inc delivery.
Up to you if you wanna shell out for that, but the Z3 shifter has been 'tried and tested' on the Zone for a while now...

Ԛ£56.34 listed there, but I imagine it depends on how well you know your Parts Dept at your local stealers:)

Nooooooo...
The bits that are the same on EBay are Ԛ£27.66 and Ԛ£4.68 - the lever and bearing. You need nothing else really.
The rest of the stuff listed is to replace the selector rod union, which gets rid of the slop, where as this lever makes the throw shorter, the same as the lever that's advertised on Ebay...
Hope this helps...
Giles.

if you want the daddy of all shortshifts then you want to get the B&M Shortshift, i have it fitted to mine and to be honest i forgot how good it really was until i was at the lakeside meet watching from outside my car at others playing with the shortshift, even someone who had done the z3 conversion said that it was a much shortershift with the B&M, there not cheap at about Ԛ£130 but if you think about how many times you change gear, you soon get your moneys worth

Dale... that's because everyone uses the Z3 1.9 lever. I've got the Z3 2.8 lever in mine and it's a much much shorteer shift than the 1.9 lever I have in my track car. I might even go for the Z3M lever next, it's even shorter again!
They're all roughly the same price too.

Guys,
My brother's just invested in the Z3 1.9 jobbie, but I'll think i'll go for the 2.8 jobbie now, cheers Giles

I also replaced all the bushes and joints, including a new selector rod, so my change is super-tight!
