E30 Zone

just a question... theres a black box under the steering collum, to the left of my light dippers, and i wondered if anyone can shed any light on it. it beeps at strange intervals, and i cant figure out what it does.. any help?!

If you have a 6 button OBC, it will bleep when the temp goes below 3 degrees cent, or if you have the memo button pressed (ME will light up on the display) it will give 3 bleeps about 10 seconds before the end of every hour, to remind the driver of hourly news broadcasts.

On the 13 button, it will do the ice warning as above, and also a speed limiter which you can set manually, and it will bong when you go above the set speed.

Doesn't sound like anything standard to me.
