Was planning a day trip there and just wondered was it worth a trip ? I've been to several other motor museums but this looks like the big one.

Its wicked, we went when they had a super car expo, had a veyron and a McLaren F1. Its a really nice part of the South East aswell. They have loads of vehicles there, definetly worth the trip.

Went there a few years back, when there was a show going on. Wicked day and loads of nice cars to look at :)

it's a decent enough collection, and well worth a look if you're in the area, but i wouldnt make a multiple hour trip just to visit the museum.

I grew up there (well very close) and my sister got married there last month!

Its ok, you get fairly close to the racing and super cars. I'm never sure about the "classics". Are they indicitive/ typical or just popular? do I need to look at a Cortina? My girlfriend liked the Chitty-chitty Bang-bang and Del Boy cars!

Best bet is to look on the calendar. Lots of car / bike clubs use Beaulieu as a destination for rallys and finish in the arena in the centre. That way you get 2 shows for the price of one. The price is high by the way!

If you really like old cars go when there's an autojumble (there always one in Sept and one in May). That way you might find the cotterpin for a 1927 Alvis OHC you need to finish the retoration.

Personally I prefer Donnington.

ps Clashot's a better beach and Buckler's Hard is a nice place for a pint on a sunny day.
