I dont like this section one bit as it means more people will see stuff im bidding on and create more potential auction winners, thus increasing exposure and price

But it also helps others to see things they may not have seen otherwise!

I think the e-bay section is great!

So what you bidding on at the moment then? Obviously something!! Might have to jump on and do a little search... "E30 M3" title and description...

The whole point of that is to allow users here to put up links for E30 items they find, which might be useful to others.

And yeah, maybe you should create a different eGay ID for surfing/buying your porn/kinky rubbish - that way people won't know what you're looking at, or have been buying :jester:

Ԛ´s true, most of the time, its all dodgy gear anyway, and the good stuff goes for silly money anyway so its not just on here that the prices get bumped

Its not about helping people out.

That is not the point I am attempting to make.

Imagine you are watching something on ebay, say an OBC for a cheap price. A few hours to go and you bid and are likely to get a bargain. Then some numpty posts it up in the ebay section. Since everyone seems to want an full OBC system, the price goes up a lot.I have seen it happen with wheels, Hardtops, and loads of things.

At the end of the day, the trick to getting a bargain on ebay is to find things and not share them.

That is my point.

I understand what you're saying mate, but people do that on here to help each other out. Which is the idea of this place? I see where you are coming from, but I think it's a bit unfair! :(

TBH-i'd rather see something I was bidding on going to a fellow zoner than to anyone else!

i've already had at least 'a set of 15"BBS with good tyres' worth of mechanical and styling advice off of the zone, and if it means loosing out on summat sometimes its ok by me.

yes, its ok helping other zoners out!

but then it turns out into an inadvertant bidding war between zoners.

Its happened in the past.

not really a bidding war as you know how much you'll pay for an item, plus Ebay proxy bids for you....

at the end of the day if you dnt want other zoners bidding on stuff then just dnt post it here
but you cant kick off if someone else does as thats what the zone is all about helping and cooperating with eachother because we all have a joint love of the e30 so yes i understand your point m3rags but come on your also on the zone and no doubt at some point have been pointed in the rite direction when needing help getting something for your car so it goes both ways if the zone wasnt like this how many of us would stay?? and would theyre be anything to stay for
this is just the way it is and like someone said just proxy bid on ebay thats all any of us can do mate.. Daz

Rags if something you're bidding on comes up in the eBay section, you could just say that you've been planning on bidding on it?

I'm sure there's enough respect between members on here for other users to leave "your" items along if it's not something really rare etc.

Actually, that sounds pretty stupid doesn't it
