Another tech 1 thats been abused

Some old dear has just driven into the back of my tech 1, i was just about to enter an island by where i live and some bitch in a renault megane didn't deem my car as worth stopping for so just drove into the back of me, i think she was actually accelerating. she came to the conclusion that it was my fault as there was no visible damage to her car. can you believe that not only is she stupid enough to think that, but she managed to get away without damage

heres the damage

the annoying thing is that shes bent the rear panel so no doubt be a write off and a rediculous payout of bout £600 cus thats all most insurance comps think these cars are worth

is the rear panel badly bent? if not thats a nice cheap fix.

On a positive note. I recieved a £1600 payout for my tech1 with no mention of a write off and it was dealt with Vquickly :D

had a 205 written off in Feb but a tipper truck wanting to park where my 1.9 was parked

was offered £2k until I asked them to find me one in the same condition/miles/history for than amount

eventually I ended up with £3k in the bag

good luck!

you wont get anykind of payout unless she accepts fault, which doesn't sound like she wants too. make sure your insurance company dont pus*ey out and go 50/50.

saying that, i thought it was automatically the person behinds fault for not observing the correct stopping distance. :?

lol

sure the age old argument is, even if you stop in the road for no good reason the person behind should at all times be leaving enough room to safley stop before hitting you.

silly cow doesn't have a leg to stand on imo :D prepare to eat sh*t love :moon:

yeah its def all her i know it for a fact, i could of kicked my tail out to drift the island she has to keep a correct stopping distance its not only liable it illegal not to. i know from experiance from when some other bint cut me up once then crashed causing me to crash into her and i ended up with total liability and nearly a night in the cells for arguing the fact with a cop. as apparently i was driving dangerously by driving close enough to hit her

Appropriate number plate you have! Feel sorry for you though; hope you at least get a good whiplash claim from it...

yup, any rear ender is the person behinds fault.

Unlucky, cant see it being a write off though, few hundred to pull the panel out and jig it, job jobbed.

If he has whiplash - which i doubt in such a low speed impact; he is entitled to claim, but i guess you would just claim anyway - remember karma 8)

Hopefully the rear panel will push out, get a few quotes from reputable bodyshops and get their expert opinion.

Got a good tech 1 rear bumper here in that colour should the need arise.
Low speed impact or not whiplash payout should be on the cards.
Good luck with it :)

a few hours after the crash my neck did hurt, wasnt stiff could still move normally, just a little sore, thing is even the hospital gives you a no win no fee claim leaflet its stupid, but ive got a hospital record now with whiplash on it so if they try and screw me on the price of the sport ill be taking the compensation, may even take it anyway and add some goodies to the sport, cheers for the letting me know bout the bumper spadge ill let you know if i need it

i feel for ya mate i got hit from behind at red lights in my tech1 mine was a right off it took ages to get sorted cos the little tw%t that hit me would'nt admit liyabilty at first i was at a red light stationry!!

but in the end i got £1750 for the car and they said i could buy it back for £46 dont know where they got that from,i got £1000 wiplash make sure you go to the doc's and get and get your kneck checked too!! and say it hurts still and tell them its affecting your daily job!! and my wife was in the car and she got £1600 wiplash but she got it worse cos she looked behind to see where the screeech was coming from and done her back in,

and ive sold nearly all the parts and made about £650 so far!

hope they repair yours!!!

if they do right it off make sure you hold out for the best price from them i had to get prices from the trader etc they could only find 4 or5 for sale at that time..

your one of the lucky ones.. my insurance premium shits on the price of most cars on here so I think I have a fair say in the matter.

not if youre calling me scum as you dont know me, cant see a whiplash claim or any other affecting your personal premium unless you have a bad record to start with i have several cars and bikes insured for next to nothing as i have full no claims and im over 30 (just) so back off with the insults and stop blaming everything else for your high premiums, try learning to drive properly off keep off the beer or drugs whatever it is your on!! Not far from me in Chester by the way PAL!!!!!

You havn't had the car long Bob so you wouldn't have had a renewal yet :? Your high premiums are based purely on your age and the type of car you drive, where you live etc..
Calling someone 'scum' for their comments earlier was a bit ott imo
