E30 Zone

THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THE CAR AT THE MINUET IS THE SPEEDO CLOCK AND REV COUNTER HAS STOPPED WORKING, IV BEEN TOLD BY A GARAGE ITS ONLY 2 FUSES BUT AS THE BABY IS HERE I HAVENT HAD TIME TO ORDER THEM FROM BMW, I WAS TOLD THEYD SET ME BACK ABOUT £15 FOR BOTH THE SPARK PLUGS.

As for this comment i wont even bother to answer, but just because you like a particular kit, does that make you a Chav? Maybe it's you who cant afford it so you're bitching

..........Personally i don`t know (nor would i like to take a guess) at what he was meaning but if i were to sell a car i would not put basic lies in there like the speed the car is supposed to be capable of and the fuses costing £25.00 then there is the sparkplugs utter nonsense, the sentence does not even read right.
Then the guy gore on to state that he has purchased nothing but the best including Lamborghini wheels, well that does not read like lookalike wheels to me also the wheels are nice but they are not, (even arguably imho) the best.
There is no history but only 3 owners, he then goes on to state that the car has been serviced every 3000 miles but what proof is there?
As for your last point regarding the previous post, i too think the car is totally chavtastic, approx £5k would buy a very nice sport with history so why would anyone bother with this?
Most people could afford it. I would give him £1k for it and take that ridiculous bodykit off the car and respray it in the original colour, put new reasonable sized for a 2.5 litre wheels on the car.
No it`s not the bitching or jealousy that makes people dislike this kind of thing it`s the fact that in most peoples eyes it`s just WRONG!.....
Each to his or her own but by the same token everyone can express a view, an opinion, my view like some others on here is that it is just wrong and a stupid waste of money.

As for kit numbers, I'm sure there are a few sites still selling the kit. I remeber looking at a site, may have been called autovogue about 4 years ago with the reiger infinity (that's what the kit is called?) for sale in £'s. They also had e36 and e46 look alike kis for the e30. Plus a pic of a blue Euro cab with the e36 kit on it, some badass deep dish wheels and a bonnet mod (may have been bad boy, sic). The car looked awesome. The work was top notch and the spray job was excellent.

Originally that kit was £6k. You can now get them for half that price. The Infinity kit you are talking about is just the front, rear bumper and side skirts. This kit is called the Rieger Genesis kit. I have a set of the Infinity in my garage and like you said, as with most kits, it's the fitting and painting of the car that makes or breaks the look of the car regardless of the cost.

As for the wheels, maybe he should have put 17" Alpina replica's on the car to approve with the Zone taste

I was not refering to your car, i don`t think i`ve ever seem it, i don`t usually buy magazines.

Part of this forum is about expressing an opinion and everyon has that right.

I would rather have the standard car and have spent all of the money taking it to BMW for proper services, it`s not imho as if he has done anything at all to enhance the car by spending (allegedly) a shit load of cash on it.

I don`t intend to post anymore, i don`t want a slanging match.

So did i mate, but clearly not everone thought the same cause i never won anything the couple of shows i went to with that colour. Went Kandy Red and won Best Paint at Max Live (beating 2500 other cars) and National BMW.

I never thought I'd see you admit you built your car to conform to what the masses like...! The paint does look great now, it just ain't orange!
