I've always found Admiral to be the cheapest.

To be honest, you're just too young to get a cheap policy.

You could 'tweak' what you say when phoning up.
Not blatantly lie but where you say the car will be kept, modifications, how many miles you do and how much it's worth and all that has an effect on the price.

What car?

I did write a longer post earlier, but it wouldn't let me post it. :x

If the car is unmodified, try Norwich union. I find for young drivers in standard cars they can't be beaten.

ive just tried Norwich union, heritage, and performance direct, all bout 1500, i was only paying 800 last year, why has everyone doubled it, the lowest i can find is 1100, guess its my own fault for having a tech 1 sport, annoying thing is i bought the car because the insurance was reasonable

Putting a second older driver on the policy as a named driver can help.

go to confused, i went to them and thru them got a quote on my 318 for 1100 (only had my licence 9 months) from quinn direct, then went to them directly and they quoted me 1500 quid, so i went back and bought it thru confused... different things work for different people though
