these recoaos were only available in the m3 sport evo
either in motorsport cloth or black leather , they are rocking horse shit, expext to pay £1000 minmum for them
they are the same as a recaro SR, how ever the base frame and runners on the originals are different to the ones supplied now by recaro, OE bmw ones had hight and tilt adjustment
i had a set of originals in black leather which have made way for a new set trimmed in leather for my project.
enjoy

good luck with the frames !! the recaro suplied ones are good enough, they do everything thats needed and thats what i've got now.
i'm not building a sport evo, and i wanted everything in my car to be new.

I think frames are £600 each at the dealers

If someone has some of these, surely the frames can be reproduced by a good fabricator, thus sving £600 at the dealers?

Maybe i suppose you would need the original frames as well.

That's what I meant. Copy an original. Should be fairly straight forward for a good fitter/fabricator.

Come on who wants to lend us their sport evo for the day?

pointless having originals
the seats come with e30 specific frames from recaro, they slide back and forward, recline and tilt forward for rear passengers ( i wont ever have any ! )
any need for hight adjustment and tilt/rake ?? they sity in a very good position as is, low down and very snuglu in the seat.
if you are realy determined use a frame for a regual e30 sports seat as they have high and tilt/rake adjustment ?
