Monsport (Malcolm) Lost his battle

Sad news.

Malcolm AKA Monsport who used to meet us up the hill finally lost his battle with cancer.

I feel an empty space on the zone.

Malcolm has been around for many years on the zone and was a true gent.

I will be attending his funeral.

Iain

Was thinking of him yesterday for some reason.

As you said Iain, he was a true gent, and will be sadly missed.

Iain, please pass on our deepest sympathies for his wife and family's loss.
Malc was a super guy, one of the best.

If there is a collection for his wife, or donations going to Cancer Research / Macmillan or wherever, let me know mate.
I'd be happy to contribute.

I'll have a go at starting a collection off in justgiving if people want to donate.
Will it go to charity or to Malc's family Iain?

I only briefly chatted with Malcom a couple months ago, got talking about his work. Lovely fella and was happy to bend over backwards for people.

My thoughts are with his family.

An excellent idea.

Think Porchester Castle would be good but up Portsdown Hill is where we remember him.

What you think guys ?

Iain, Portsdown sounds great to me. Your call mate. You're the one in contact with Malc's wife.
Maybe she could go to Portsdown too, and we could hand over the collection to her to donate to wherever herself.
We could do a collection thread and have cash and cheques sent to your good self for the donation process.

As said, I'll set up anything you want sorted.

Gordon,

Can you set up a collection then as I dont want funds to get mixed up with merchandise funds.

Perhaps to your paypal to keep it simple?

I will throw a tenner in to get it rolling.

What date is good for peeps ?

Wonderful picture Simon, just how I remember him. With a smile and with that lovely car of his...

Not knowing where the money is going is the problem Iain, do you want to just collect cash and hand it over to Sheila, or would she rather we collect and send to charity, Cancer Research or Macmillan or wherever?
I think if it goes to a charity and we use something like justgiving, we get the tax back off that thieving b'stard Mr Brown at the Chancellery...
